Eight of our cadets were assessed for their Basic Radio Operator qualification last night, and all passed! Great work 🙂

We were delighted to present five more cadets with their Essential First Aid badge this evening! This qualification gives them the vital skills needed to save a life across a variety of emergency situations. Thankyou to our cadet NCOs who assisted with delivery of this course.

We have had a busy weekend! On Saturday 19 Cadets finished a comprehensive St John Ambulance England first aid course and on Sunday, 12 cadets had a fantastic practical air experience flight at 8 AEF (Cosford) at RAF Cosford. All in all, our cadets gained 26 new qualifications!

Our OC was delighted to present our cadet of the month a gift voucher for outstanding achievement in April. Cadet Gathergood was a great role model to other cadets on our recent camp, and has also consistently maintained a high standard of uniform.

We have had some fantastic sporting successes over the past few weekends! We won the Staffordshire Wing Air Cadets Athletics Championship last Sunday, then 11 cadets represented @Staffswing at another competition yesterday, helping secure gold against other Wales & West Region Wings!

4 of our cadets joined 388Squadron & 60 (Leek) Squadron RAFAC for some more flying at RAF Cosford today. This was made possible by an amazing team of squadron volunteers, and dedicated 8 AEF (Cosford) volunteer pilots who fly cadets from across the region. Thanks everyone! #VolunteersWeek 🙂

We have been updating our noticeboards with a new activity spotlight area. 🔦 Every few months we'll focus on a new activity. This month is about upcoming changes to the RAFAC Space syllabus. Our OC is also from the @RAFACTRT and will be uploading these posters online soon!

We have had a great day assisting the Bruntingthorpe Lightning Preservation Group at their event this afternoon. It culminated in a fantastic re-heat of one of their aircraft's engines!

Our dedicated cadets and staff were proud to be a part of the #RemembranceSunday service in #Rugeley Town Centre today.
