Excited to share our latest work in BCP chemistry in ChemRxiv today! A great project to have worked on in the second half of my PhD at GSK and Chemistry - University of Strathclyde. Thanks to Nick Measom/Darren Poole/Gemma and Prof John Murphy for all their input. chemrxiv.org/engage/chemrxi…

Congratulations REM and Nils Frank on our latest BCB paper, where we generate non-classical bicyclobutonium ions and develop a model for predicting reaction outcome from these fascinating intermediates 🎉🍾. Out in Science Advances, see science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

Really happy to see this out in its published form! It was a great honour to provide some computational findings 💻 to this project with Fernanda Duarte Duarte Group – non-classical carbocations never stop to amaze!

Thrilled to see our group's contributions being recognised. Many thanks to everyone Duarte Group for their dedication, creativity, and collective efforts, as well as friends and colleagues for their support.

We’re extremely excited to share the first research publication from our group Malapit Lab now out in J. Am. Chem. Soc.. Congratulations to Eva Eva Maria Alvarez, Griffin, & Mo!

Check out Fernanda Duarte's computational chemistry research in this video from NYAS, following her recent recognition in the annual Blavatnik Awards in the UK Fernanda Duarte Duarte Group youtube.com/watch?v=3Oqwof…

Super cool work of first author Jonas Wenzel and J. Werner and great collaborative study with the groups of A.-N. Unterreiner, Joris van Slageren, Israel Fernández Group. Congrats! The Center for the Transformation of Chemistry will have 1.000 scientists at two locations - one on the Hochschule Merseburg campus in Sachsen-Anhalt for 300 colleagues and one in Stadt Delitzsch in #saxony for 700 people. Planning of the new building in #Merseburg is progressing very quickly

In August I will be joining UT Dallas Chemistry to start my research group! Thank you to many (Duarte Group , Ed Anderson Group 🇺🇦, Martin Head-Gordon Group, ...) for your support. You can find out about my group's plans here: labs.utdallas.edu/sterling/ More very soon... UT Dallas UTD Natural Sciences & Math

pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10.10… Congratulations to Kaijie Ji for his Article in J. Am. Chem. Soc. ! The transformation to produce the caged BDPC framework is very exciting. I also congratulate our collaborators Sivaguru Lab for their excellent work on the photocycloaddition mechanism.

***We are hiring!*** My group is looking for a postdoc with comp chem experience to join us at UT Dallas Chemistry from August '24. You can find out more about the position and submit your application here: jobs.utdallas.edu/postings/26587 Please share! #compchem

Delighted to see Alistair's work J Org Chem/Org Lett! We introduce a simple model for predicting strain-based reactivity, moving beyond the prevalent idea of geometric strain. As someone once said "Everything should be made as simple as possible, but no simpler"pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

After a long journey, extremely happy to see Zhang Hanwen and Veronika Juraskova's work on MLPs in Nature Communications! 🎉 Check this blog summarising how this training approach facilitates modelling chemical reactions in solution communities.springernature.com/posts/modeling… Oxford Chemistry #compchem
