27 athletic departments that sponsor men's lacrosse opted out, so 50 opted in. Among those, Johns Hopkins was one of 9 DIII departments to opt in for their DI sports. On June 10, I said I thought fewer than 33 departments would opt in. Needless to say, I'm surprised.
