Question from a pupil today. Square ended cuboid; 12 x 12 x 30. A and B are both 1 cm from opposite edges, lying on the same plane of symmetry. Find the shortest distance from A to B travelling on the surface of the cuboid.

I have great memories of riding the World 24 in Borrego Springs, way back in 2019. Such an adventure and such a stunning place to race. It's going to be super interesting to see how Lee and Chris get on tonight.

I am speaking to this guy Michael Hutchinson in Tring on June 26th about his new book. He has been exploring the world of crazy people who do long distance cycling races, and asking them some tricky questions. I plan to return the favour 😀

Out on 12th June from Atlantic Books! I loved researching and writing this, about ultra riders and races, and about my own attempts at that sort of thing. I talked to some brilliant people, and learned a lot about how to they keep themselves in one piece for hours, days or weeks.
