Day 2 of our map reading & IET weekend started off with cadets learning about Ordnance Survey maps. We then had visits from Cheshire Search And Rescue to talk about the team and Sgt Woods a mountaon leader with the Mercian Regiment to talk about expedition kit and emergency situations.

12 of our cadets completed their RAF Air Cadets #bronze #cybercourse today with the Merseyside Wing IT Officer, Flt Lt Cross. Sgt Kirkham also completed his bronze instructor course meaning he can run courses in the future. Well done everyone. North Region - RAF Air Cadets @NorthWestRFCA

This week we had to say goodbye to Cpl Pantazides who sadly due to work commitments has found his time as a cadet with the RAF Air Cadets come to an end. From everyone at 306Sqn we would like to wish you all the best for the future.

Yesterday, 7 of our cadets attended 10 AEF at RAF Woodvale for some air experience flying. For 4 cadets this was their first time in an RAF Grob Tutor. The cadets had an amazing time with some amazing views from in the sky. The Grange Academy Heath School Runcorn Sandymoor Ormiston Academy

Last night Flt Lt Wiliams, Civilian Instructors Mr and Mrs Kirkham had the pleasure of attending the Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire award evening at Chester Cathedral where they were presented awards for their service to the RAF Air Cadets Well done to everyone on their achievements.

Last night at Chester Cathedral, the recipients of this years’ Lord-Lieutenant Awards for Cheshire including members of four Merseyside Wing Squadrons were presented with their Certificates of Meritorious Service by the Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire, Lady Alexis Redmond MBE.

Tonight we were joined by Air Specialist (1st Class) Alex Hewitt from the Red Arrows who gave the cadets an insight into his career with the @royalairforceuk and his role as an engineering technician with 'Team Blue'

Today Cadets from 306 Squadron, represented Merseyside Wing in the morning parade in Liverpool as the banner party and then the whole squadron turned out for the afternoon parade in Runcorn. The cadets turnout for both parades was impeccable they did themselves proud.

Last Night We had our latest recruits learning about ranks and they had their introduction to drill with WO Feeney. A Flight wrapped for fieldcraft lessons with Sgt Witham. B Flight had an introduction to coding with CI Hales-Jones, looking at algorithms.

306 Squadron ventured out into the cold for the first Wing sports event of the year, Inter squadron cross country.

on Saturday 3 Cadets from 306 had been invited Wing Dismounted Close Combat Trainer (DCCT) shoot at Altcar. CWO Baldwin and Cpl P.Hales-Jones achieved their Trained Shot Marksman badge with the L98A2 Cadet GP Rifle, congratulations to you both.
