A great performance today from our Football Team at the UK North 7 a-side competition. Up against 19 other sides, 3 RHA reached the final but were unlucky to be pipped at the post on penalties. Man of the Tournament was our goalkeeper Gnr Smart and Golden Boot was LBdr Yhia.

Walking into the weekend on the Pentland Hills just outside of Edinburgh, Ex NÉRY NAV was an opportunity to get some more miles in the legs and develop the navigation skills of our most junior soldiers. Thanks to LBdr Bower for organising a cracking day out! 3RHA

A C Battery Troop recently deployed to Northern Ireland to cover ceremonial saluting duty. This allowed the Troop to take part in the Massed Bands event at Carrickfergus Castle and included six of our Fijian soldiers who volunteered to join the Fijian Choir that evening.💥

This week L (Néry) Bty visited Imperial War Museums - home to ‘The Néry Gun’ & 3 of 4 VCs awarded to L Bty recipients. We were also privileged to receive tours of the Household Cavalry & the HAC who both kindly hosted us. Thanks to LCoH Hale for organising a great week in London! 3RHA

Bdr Alexis and LBdr Wood both represented the Gunners this week at Redbridge in the Army Road Race Series. Furthermore the Gunners won both the male and female titles, well done to all that competed. 🚴 🚴💪💪👏

Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTACs) from the Regiment have deployed on Ex ROYAL BLACKHAWK in Belfort, France. This has seen them work closely with the German Bundeswehr and Belgian Defence - here they can be seen conducting a battlegroup air assault into a local village.

Sgt Yamikani Guba has won Gold 🏆 at the Ultimate Open Taekwondo Championships on 17th October 2021 in Barnsley Next up is the North East Open Championships on 24th October and the British National Taekwondo Championships on the 7th November Congratulations 👏 #ArmyTaekwondo

Sgt Yamikani Guba of 3rd Regiment Royal Horse Artillery, has won Silver in the heavy weight category at the British National Taekwondo Championships, held at the Copper Box Arena_London Olympic Park on the 7th Nov Guba had 2 KnockOuts in the quarter finals and semi finals 🥋

Sgt Nelson was one of three L Bty VC recipients following the ‘Affair at Néry’. After reaching the rank of Major, Nelson was subsequently killed in action and laid to rest in Lillers, France. Today the Bty visited his grave en route to Néry. Lest we forget. 3RHA

This morning L (Néry) Bty RHA paraded in France to mark Armistice Day before being impeccably hosted for a six-hour lunch by our friends in Néry. The preceding days have included visits to Arras, Lillers, and the site in Compiègne where the Armistice was signed 103 years ago.

This year, the Regiment had the privilege of once again sharing Remembrance Sunday with the people of Northumberland and Tyne and Wear, as well as at the Cenotaph and RA Memorial in London. It’s always an honour to remember the fallen amongst our friends and neighbours.

How do you wish a happy birthday in true RHA style? At 12 noon on Sunday 15th November, a 21 gun salute was fired by the Regiment at Museum Gardens in York to mark the 73rd birthday of HRH The Prince of Wales. The guns were manned by C Battery RHA and commanded by the Adjutant.

We remember that on this day 80 years ago, 2Lt George Ward Gunn MC RHA of J (Sidi Rezegh) Battery RHA was awarded the Victoria Cross for his actions at Sidi Rezegh. The Battery was consequently awarded the Sidi Rezegh Battle Honour and celebrate every year. Happy Sidi Rezegh Day!
