Having Bill Taylor join Kuentz 5th graders for Town Hall Tuesdays really brought our weather and climate unit to life! ⛈☀️ We now have quite a few meteorologists in the making!

Every 5th grader Kuentz Elementary received a pollinator plant (scarlet sage or blackfoot daisy) from The Nectar Bar to take home thanks to an EcoAudit grant that EcoFriends wrote! Thank you EcoRise🦋 #WeRise #MonarchHeroes

The many hats of Karen Conner... Thank you for leading our entire grade level in Town Hall Tuesdays for every single Tuesday this school year. Every. Single. Tuesday. You took learning to the next level for ALL 5th graders and gave us something to look forward to every week! 🤩

Thanks so much to these City of Helotes firemen for visiting with our Kuentz Elementary 5th graders today! We’re so thankful to have these heroes in our community!! #12DaysOfCommunity

“Teach a Talent” day is always one of our favorites! Love learning more about our Kuentz Elementary 5th grader’s hobbies and interests- We have one talented group!! #12DaysOfCommunity

We CLEARLY have some of the best teachers Kuentz Elementary , so our 5th graders didn’t mind spending a few minutes offering their best windshield cleaning services. Hey The Wash Tub , y’all hiring?!

A huge THANK YOU to the incredibly talented, knowledgeable and well-spoken students from Agriculture Science & Technology Academy NISD for showing our Kuentz Elementary 5th graders how amazing your programs are!! Lots of future Ag students headed your way!! #12DaysOfCommunity

I’ve never met a group of students more excited to pick up trash (safely, of course!). Beautifying our Kuentz Elementary campus AND having a good time! #12DaysOfCommunity

Without a doubt, critter projects are always one of students’ favorite projects! Their made up critter must survive on a given made up planet. We include concepts of adaptations, food webs, inherited traits, etc and mash it all up with loads of creativity! Northside ISD NISD Elem Science

I was beyond excited to bring this presentation to the 5th graders Kuentz Elementary today! Thank you Ranger Matt for a wonderful presentation & Happy 150th anniversary Yellowstone National Park It was fun celebrating with you 🎉National Park Service #Yellowstone150

Some of the absolute BEST guest readers shared some fun, amazing books with our Kuentz Elementary 5th graders for #ReadAcrossAmerica week. We SO appreciate these community role models for taking time to share their love of reading with us!

These 5th graders LOVED exploring their new Kuentz Elementary Follett classroom library collection. Students made a list of titles they were interested in and rated each- Now, they have a “go to” list when it’s time to pick out a new book! Elementary ELAR

Using M&M’S as an instructional tool (and a tasty treat) to introduce the differences between weather and climate! Each M&M represents weather on one day, and all the M&Ms together represents the overall climate. Yum! Kuentz Elementary NISD Science

These Kuentz Elementary 5th graders are hard at work sorting properties of matter with our aMaZiNg Think Big Science stations!! Loving that they’re all interactive and STAAR aligned! Thanks for the resource NISD Science 🤓
