Have a T490 laptop connected to a usb c monitor... Was working fine then yesterday monitor keeps saying no input and neither usb port charges via monitor or AC adaptor. Monitor works fine with my T14, and the T490 is fully up to date with firmware and drivers. Any ideas 🤔

Well, it took some time, but the Encounter demo is now available on Steam as well :) So if you were on the fence, just try it (and remember it runs on a 1mhz emulated CPU, so don't expect miracles! 😅) store.steampowered.com/app/3319780/En…

New video - a dive into RAM banking to explain how a chiptune player (Protracker - PT3) run at the same time as regular programs. Tons of PT3 tunes out there - the 6502 player runs with ~5% overhead. #Chiptune #8bit #homebrewcomputer youtu.be/ABDBaE9197M?si…

It's my birthday today so I thought I'd give you all a present! A brand new #ZXSpectrum game by me based on a type in from 1984! The evil Sparx are destroying your Z80 CPU - can you stop them?! jimblimey.itch.io/sparx-2

Retro meets the future! :) I just connected #ORIC to Gemini and the results are... unexpected! Who would have thought that pixels could have such intelligent conversations? :) #8bit #oric #retro #gemini

A homebrew breadboard computer, running a homebrew language (dflat) with which I made a homebrew version of Tetris.. Old news - new is that with the ability to play pt3 chiptunes in the background (NMI) using shadow RAM, Tetris has decent music! #8bitmusic youtu.be/MdhmuINP-M4

Time to get thinking caps on for this fun, creative and friendly competition. That Tetris implementation is pretty incredible, looking forward to seeing what folks do this year and might have a go again on my trusty Oric-1 🤗

A quick Oric and dflat update - my Tetris in dflat is now running PT3 mod files in the background. The game is very slightly slower with background music but I think the overall experience is improved due to the audio. Some nerdy memory dumps also shown🤓 youtu.be/w9TSx_pyq_I

I have been loaned a "Frob" ATARI 2600 development system courtesy of the NVM, so I can demonstrate it. But the disk is in terrible shape. I will attempt to clean it, but I am putting out a call to anyone who may have a copy, please get in touch with me!

Since apparently the rules encourage sharing C and assembler resources, here is the complete source code of the game I released last December, which is pretty much all in C and 6502 assembler😅 Feel free to ask any question! github.com/Dhebug/Encount…

I got new-old stock Oric-1 tapes and tried to load it on my battered 42 year old WHSmith player into my owned from new in 1983 Oric-1. Surprised to report that it actually worked, I was convinced it would be a disaster! youtu.be/4QyK8Ecp6k4

Can I generate 8-bit graphics for a niche 80s computer (Oric-1) using Copilot? Sort of is the answer - due to the contextual sensitivity of Copilot, the experiments in this video aren't as good as when I tried earlier! youtu.be/Vf9Gvi1Y3II
