Unpopular Opinion: Young Athletes have way too many damn camps, leagues, and lifting in June. Every year in June you see many injuries because we throw everything in one month. I would prefer we spread some of this out through the summer.

We have lifting programs that last 1 month , then stop completely then lifting never gets brought up the rest of the summer!

We have basketball camps at the HS level that last 1 month. Every day for one month. Most of them are just fundraisers. Then nobody talks to their HS Coach in July, and August.

Team camps are probably my favorite! Opportunity for kids to play with their HS team. Develop game experience, and have fun.

Almost every kid you talk to right now is burned out. I do believe off season programs are important but the system we have right now is crazy!
