#TDIDCH: April 12, 1983 – Happy Aviation B-day! Aviation is established as a separate Army branch & a full member of the Army’s combined arms team. This move, directed by Sec Army John Marsh, comes after recognition of the role of the helicopter in ground ops in the Vietnam War.

This morning, the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade held its Volunteer of the Quarter ceremony where we were able to recognize our invaluable #volunteers. This selfless service undoubtedly makes a world of difference in the many lives across our formation. #AATW All American Division FORSCOM 🇺🇸

Today @PantherBrigade and Robert Fernsby conducted training with crews from the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, learning how to quickly and safely load a UH-60, offload quickly and pull security. This training is in preparation for their participation in Swift Response 21. #DefenderEurope
