Academy Hall of Fame inductee, Craig Darby was a standout in his time with the Cadets and was drafted by Montreal straight out of his Senior year playing for Academy! He was the first player in Albany Academy Hockey history to be drafted to the NHL! NZPrepHockey

Our next player spotlight is one of our many hometown heroes, Marc Cavosie! Marc played a key role in the Cadets first NEPSAC Championship in our first year in the league, going on to be a Hobey Baker Finalist at RPI and a draft pick of the Minnesota Wild in the 2000 NHL Draft!

Next up in our player spotlight series, Conor Riley! Conor, was a two year player for the Cadets and a Captain his senior year. He went on to have a successful career both at the collegiate at professional level. We are so proud to share Conor’s story with you!

Spotlight series; Colin Stevens! Colin was our reliable backstop before going on to playing for the USNTDP and winning a National Championship with Union College! In addition to a national championship, Colin was a 2x ECAC Champion before turning pro. Thanks Colin!

Next up in our Spotlight Series, Albee Daley! Albee shares his experience with us and we couldn’t be prouder of what he has accomplished since his time as a Cadet. Keep up the great work!

Our next player spotlight, Jeff Taylor! Jeff is a staple of the Albany Academy community. Upon retiring from his successful collegiate and pro career, Jeff returned home to help the Cadets as an Assistant Coach under Matt Alvey, one of his previous Coaches while at Union!

Player spotlight; Kevin O’Neil! Kevin was a three year Cadet from Latham, NY who had a huge impact while dawning the Academy jersey. Following his time on Academy Rd, Kev went on to play four years at Yale and played his final collegiate season at UCONN
