Does anyone have a plausible explanation as to why the Liberal Democrat party exists? Is it just a party for people who don't really understand anything?

The misery caused by the construction of HS2 is far worse than most people imagine, and is going on and on due to the mismanagement and delays. Many of the victims are not entitled to compensation. telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/06/2… #HS2

Pop quiz. Do we think the congestion charge will chuck an extra 25 - 35% extra traffic onto Garsington Road - or even more? The council's traffic consultants, Steer, give predictions on how much traffic flows will be cut on checkpoint roads. They're a bit coy about increases.

Oxfordshire County Council Well done for proposing a scheme that is projected to manufacture additional congestion at Oxford's edge's, despite several of the existing congestion charge sites currently not having a congestion problem.

Save East Oxford Businesses All of this is a feature, not a bug. It's absolutely intended to make private car use more unpleasant. They can't improve the alternatives to persuade people out of their cars so they do the typical council thing - hanstring the car to make it artificially worse.
