From Nov. 4-6, experts from 16 organizations gathered in Almaty for the first meeting of the SNAPP Resilient Rangelands project. The goal is to develop sustainable solutions for rangeland management in Kazakhstan and Mongolia, balancing agriculture and ecosystem health.

These Przewalski’s horses, reintroduced to Kazakh steppe in June and now acclimating at the Alibi reintroduction center, are braving their first harsh winter, showcasing resilience. The Altyn Dala Conservation Initiative Conservation Initiative works to restore the steppe and its vital species.
