The inaugural get-together of the Latin American and Caribbean research chapter of ACHS, beautifully organised by Dr. Naomi Oosterman & Camila Andrea Malig Jedlicki at ACHS2024GALWAY.

More ACHS2024GALWAY updates from the heritage gang! We started this morning with our amazing post-doc researcher Diana Vonnak talking about Exhibiting Ukrainian Avant Garde during wartime (Also see #DECOPE project niku.no/en/forskningsp…)

Sian Jones ACHS2024GALWAY Tracy Ireland Everyday Heritage Sounds great! If she doesn't already know Paolo Heywood's excellent work on Fascist histories and performed 'everydayness' there could be interesting intersections.

Tracy Ireland Sian Jones ACHS2024GALWAY Everyday Heritage He has a forthcoming book on this, but if you're interested this could be a useful place to start: anthrosource.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11…

What better opportunity than the ACHS2024GALWAY to participate in the launch of the @Routledge Handbook of Heritage and the Law? The editors, Lucas Lixinski and Lucie Morisset, chaired the session with some authors who contributed a chapter. Such a great company!

Thank you for having us ACHS2024GALWAY - we all had a super time exploring Galway and hearing other fabulous presentations with ThinkSee3D and Virtual Experience Company - looks to think about and reflect on! #3dreconstruction

Had a blast performing our ’50 Shades of Green’ ACHS2024GALWAY on Monday! What a great bunch of people. Special thanks to the organisers and the sound guys! Hope you all enjoy the rest of the week. You can watch back here: youtube.com/live/gVu54rjMD…

Just planted the Polish wildflower seeds that #ACHS2028 hosts from Uniwersytet Warszawski gifted to delegates at ACHS2024GALWAY. I'm not a great gardener but fingers crossed in a few weeks we'll see some signs of life! Loving the heritage horticultural challenge! ACHS 🤞🌱🇵🇱😊

Replicas! Sian Jones & I will have mentioned this to just a few of you ACHS2024GALWAY. Enjoy: replicas.stir.ac.uk And lovely to meet you (again) Dr Nuala Morse Anna Wessman @Simo_Br Dr Sarah Morton & the new friends I have failed to find here :) #stirheritage

ACHS2024GALWAY I talked about TheStone.stir.ac.uk so chuffed to stumble across this 1902 Coronation Chair with #StoneofDestiny souvenir in a #Banagher charity shop as I left Ireland. For fans of #materiality & self-reflection on #collectingasresearchers Anna Wessman😉

Back at our desks now from @ACHS2024Galway and reflecting on what we learnt and want to do differently in our own research. Vanicka Arora was last up but far from least in our long #stirheritage line-up. Read about her work here: stir.ac.uk/people/1852699

Heather Proctor ACHS2024GALWAY Delighted to host ACHS conference ACHS2025 @universityofgalway #accomm Dunlin Village

It was great to lead a workshop on the difficulty of participation in museums, alongside my co-panellists @ViTsenova and Dr Nuala Morse , at the ACHS2024GALWAY conference. We invited attendees to knot and tie threads as an embodied approach to thinking through a problem 🪢

Had a lovely time ACHS2024GALWAY conference. So wonderful to connect with critical heritage researchers & practitioners from around the world & to reunite with friends I met ACHS2022 Santiago! I always feel a sense of belonging at the ACHS conferences. See you again in 2026!

Rewatch this fascinating lecture by Dr Damiana McKagan on the life of Kathleen O’Mara (though rudely interrupted by a fan) #irish #irishamerican ACHS2024GALWAY
