Tens of thousands of American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network advocates urged the House Energy & Commerce Committee to reconsider Medicaid cuts that impact millions. Despite this, lawmakers who voted for these cuts chose to support the loss of health coverage for those with no other affordable options.

Thanks to our great volunteer, Beth Walker, for meeting with staff in Rep. Mark Alford and Senator Eric Schmitt and dropping off info. at Sen. Josh Hawley office, asking them to oppose cuts to Medicaid and support cancer research funding. #ProtectMedicaid

3/3 Punishing those with serious illnesses like cancer by cutting their health care will only lead to worse health outcomes and increased costs. American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network urges the Senate to reject these harmful cuts and stand up for those who depend on #Medicaid for their survival.

#Medicaid cuts have consequences. Senator Eric Schmitt and Josh Hawley, can we count on you to reject cuts and #ProtectMedicaid? These are real lives on the line. Cancer patients, children, seniors, working families and more shouldn't be left without the care they depend on.
