Just prior to spring break, over 425 Newark City Schools second graders toured and explored all the LickingCountyLibrary has to offer! Every student left with their own library card (or a certificate if they already have a library card), backpack bag tag, a new book and more!
Congratulations to our Newark City Schools 2025 Wetzel scholarship recipients: Emma Ballenger, Konner Jewell, Jenna McCullough and Adeline Tracy. Recipients will receive up to $12,000 per year for up to five years of post-secondary education. We are so proud of your accomplishments!
Our 8th grade program, 3C's, has concluded as we finished our lessons this week! Students explored careers that fit them and learned how large of an impact education has on earning. We love partnering with all 3 of our Newark City Schools middle schools for this program!
Yesterday was a beautiful day for a campus visit! 56 Newark City Schools juniors enjoyed an amazing tour, learned fascinating information about programs and majors, and munched on a delicious lunch on our annual campus visit at Ohio State Newark and Central Ohio Technical College
Yesterday, Newark City Schools 8th graders from Wilson experienced adulting with Reality Store! They budgeted, spent, and even went broke all while learning the value of education & career planning. Real-life lessons, real fun! #FinancialLiteracy #FutureReady #RealityStore
