“Right now we've seen political violence undermining a lot of norms and changing behavior. And the fear is that the government will become part of that.” We explore the impact of political violence on democracy and the steps we’ve taken in the past to combat it in a new episode

Alexander Theodoridis (Alex Theodoridis) exposes the dangerous interplay of partisan hyperpolarization and elite power-seeking that's eroding our democratic norms and driving American democracy into peril. New in #FromManyWe: kettering.org/american-democ…

“If you committed violence on that day, obviously you shouldn’t be pardoned.” -JD Vance Someone understands that Trump's a lame duck & he'd better distance himself from some of the boss's most repugnant actions if he wants a political future. Worked out great for Mike Pence.

More state legislative incumbents lost in their primary than general election last year. Different type of accountability there...

A valuable listen from my former Harvard Kennedy School professor Elaine Kamarck on the smart and constitutional way to reduce government spending/workforce and make the federal government work more effectively. Quite the contrast... npr.org/2025/02/26/nx-…

Election security IS national security. Recent federal actions are weakening protections against cyber threats & foreign interference. Our own Pam Smith (Pamela Smith) joined Adam Ambrogi (League of Women Voters of the US) & Paul Rosenzweig (@[email protected]) to explain why this is a dangerous step backward. newsweek.com/election-secur…

Regretful Trump voters? More of a media creation than anything else. Just 2% of 2024 Trump voters say they'd vote for a different candidate now. (Numbers for Harris are similar). Appears to be fewer Trump regretters than in 2017 or 2021. GOP continues to lead Dems on party ID.
