Check out our >Behind the Paper< blog in the Chemistry Community of SpringerNature highlighting our recent Communications Chemistry paper by Viktoriia Savchenko: chemistrycommunity.nature.com/posts/unveilin…

Congratulations to our group AG Böttcher member Nhung Nguyen for being awarded the second prize in the pitch competition of the Biomed iLab of Universität Wien and XISTA ISTAustria organized by the TTOs @marmas76. The Biomed iLab supports entrepreneurial ideas in science.

There is still time to sign up for the 2nd Young Austrian Microbiome Symposium taking place online next week. Our PhD Jess Neubauer is part of the organisational team, while PhD Viktoriia Savchenko is presenting her work!

Read our newest work from our PhD student Nathalie Wörz and Alumna Sina Rütschlin in collaboration with the Leist group of Universität Konstanz! It highlights a new link between #Parkinson-like neurodegeneration and a microbial metabolite

Today's Group Meeting featured a great paper by Lin Du (of National Cancer Institute) et al. "Discovery and Synthesis of a Naturally Derived Protein Kinase Inhibitor that Selectively Inhibits Distinct Classes of Serine/Threonine Kinases" pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

Special thanks to our invited speakers: AG Böttcher Stephan Hacker (inactive account) Joazeiro Lab @KursadTurgay , Caroline Kisker, Jeff Kelly and Rick Morimoto.

In today's Group Meeting, we learned about "Inhibitors of the Elastase LasB for the Treatment of Pseudomonas aeruginosa Lung Infections", a paper by Jelena Konstantinović of Helmholtz-Zentrum für Infektionsforschung –inaktiv

A nice article with video by Universität Wien 🇦🇹 about our research in microbial biochemistry 🦠⚗️🧪with some personal touch👨🏻🔬: rudolphina.univie.ac.at/en/thomas-boet…

It was a pleasure to participate in the 10th Theodor Escherich Symposium on Microbiome Research at Med Uni Graz with our PhD student Nathalie Wörz presenting her latest publication on bacterial #metabolites and their potential influence on #Parkinsons

Congratulation to our alumna Sina and our collaboration partners from the Hartig and Peter Labs Universität Konstanz on our joint paper on cooperative binding of guanidines into the guanidine-II riboswitch in NAR Genomics and Bioinform. Universität Wien CeMESS academic.oup.com/nargab/article…

Amazing work by our PhDs Viktoriia Savchenko and Verena Filz in collaboration with Official USAMRIID!

A wonderful collaboration work led by Fatima Pereira with Michael Wagner @DOME_Vienna @JMF_Vienna Rasmus Kirkegaard Biological Sciences with David Szamosvari from our lab on a Parkinson's drug affecting our gut microbiome is now published in Nature Microbiology
