💬 Ready to start the AGePOP Open Symposium! A full day of talks reaching from Biopharmaceutics to clinical studies and in vivo and in vitro analysis, all while emphasising the individual needs of the older population.

In Session 1 of the AGePOP symposium, Mark McAllister (Pfizer) explained why average is not enough for patient-focused Biopharmaceutics, followed by a second industry view from Cordula Stillhart (Roche) on conducting clinical trials in special populations. Thank you!

The 2nd session provided insights on permeation enhancers, in vitro product performance testing, in vitro tools for specific populations and on the risk assessment of DDI's. Thanks to David Braydon (UCC Ireland), James Mann (AstraZeneca), James Butler (GSK) and Álvaro Lopez (AbbVie)

Today’s symposium was rounded off by G. Alevizopoulos (NKUA) and Jos Tournoy (UZ Leuven) on clinical studies in older individuals. What a successful symposium! We hope all participants can enjoy a wonderful evening in Athens!

...and one more round of transferable skills training by accelopment for the Early-Stage Researchers: Today, they learned to identify suitable funding opportunities and optimising their future proposals for success.

As part of the training, Maria Maria Vertzoni shared the long journey of the AGePOP proposal, and Alexandros Kourentas recounted how his PhD in a collaborative research project and how he is now benefiting from the training, network and skills obtained for his career in industry.
