Coyotes score two runs in the top of the 9th and then Dumont hits her second home run of the game to tie things at 5-5. We’re heading to the 10th.

Now going to the 11th. Each team got a runner on in the 10th but was unable to send them home.

Jackrabbits put runners on the corners but can’t get a run in. To the 12th we go.

Madi Conklin hits a two-out double but then is thrown out trying to steal third. Onto the 13th.

FINAL: Jackrabbit Softball 6, USD 5. Summit League Player of the Year Abby Gentry hits a single with the bases loaded in the 13th inning to give SDSU the win. The Jacks will play Omaha tomorrow at 1 p.m.

Back at Jerald T. Moriarty Field for the Summit League Tournament. Jackrabbit Softball already has a 1-0 lead on Omaha as Brooke Dumont hit an RBI single. The winner of this game advances to tomorrow’s championship game and the loser will play USD in an elimination game right after this.

Jacks add two more runs in the 2nd. Caitlyn Wells hits a sacrifice fly and Mia Jarecki hits an RBI single to make it 3-0 heading into the 3rd.

Mavericks have tied the game in the bottom of the 4th. Haley Wilwerding hits a two-run single to make it 3-3.

SDSU regains the lead in the top of the 5th as Emma Christensen hits an RBI single.

The Jacks still lead 4-3 heading into the 7th. Brooke Dumont just threw out a Maverick that was trying to steal 2nd base.

SDSU adds two insurance runs in the top of the inning. Christensen drives in another run with a double and then Akayla Barnard hits her home with a bunt single. The Jacks are three outs from the championship.

Omaha has scored three runs in the bottom of the 7th to tie the game. They have a runner on third with one out.

SDSU gets out of the jam and the Jacks will head to extra innings for a second straight day.

Each team gets runners on in the 8th but neither can score. To the 9th we go.

FINAL: Omaha 8, Jackrabbit Softball 6. Katherine Johnson hits a two-run home run to right field and the Mavericks win it in the 9th. SDSU will take on USD in about a half hour in an elimination game.

USD leads 1-0 after two innings in this elimination game. Brooke Carey hit a run home on an infield single.

Emma Christensen strikes again for the Jacks. This time it’s a two-run single and SDSU takes a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the 6th.

Abi Brown hits a solo home run for the Yotes in the top of the 7th to tie things up at 2-2.

Madison Evans hits a one-out double and then Rylie Jones drives in a run with a single. USD leads 3-2 in the 8th.

FINAL: USD 3, Jackrabbit Softball 2. SDSU gets two runners on but Christensen grounds out to end the game and the Jacks get eliminated.
