We held the International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE) Africa Region meeting this morning. We had representatives from Kenya, Ghana, Senegal, Madagascar, Mauritius, Tanzania & Zambia. As the Interim VP, I am committed to steering the Region forward.

On 10th May 2025, we joined Mending Minds Foundation and other partners to commemorate the Mental Health Awareness and Menstrual Health Month at Swahiba Connection Centre in Kibera, addressing mental health and sexual and reproductive health; areas of increasing concern for adolescents.

Health CS Hon. Aden Duale has today inaugurated the Benefits Package & Tariffs Advisory Panel to support Kenya’s UHC reforms. Proud of our Founder Director, Dr. Mary Nyamongo, on her appointment to the panel! Her dedication to public health and social development is inspiring.

Last week, we collaborated with Division of Vector Borne and NTDs, Kenya, KEMSA, inSupply Health & the Division of Health Products and Technologies for the NTD Curriculum Design Workshop. Together, we tackled supply chain challenges, crafted key course modules, and drafted training manuals.

Menstruation should not be a threat or a burden to limit access to opportunities but a biological process that should be experience in the highest standards of hygiene. The government should prioritize funding allocation to quality menstrual health hygiene. #PeriodFriendlyWorld

We participated in the Trachoma Transition Plan Validation Meeting led by Fred Hollows and the Ministry of Health's Division of Vector Borne and NTDs, Kenya to validate, guide and launch the county transition plans, ensuring the county's commitment to resource allocation to support the transition process.
