Meet 2024 Board Member Candidate Judith Conte! Writing and publishing now takes center stage for Judith after years of sidelining to left-brain lawyer jobs. As part of her creative life, Judith aims to engage with and support writers, and to help the Guild be the best it can be.

Meet Board Member Candidate Amber Lee! Amber has an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Alaska Anchorage, and a BLA in Communications from the University of Alaska Southeast. #alaskawritersguild

Meet Board Member Candidate Rosanne Pagano! As director of the Master of Arts Program at Alaska Pacific University, Rosanne has supervised creative projects by students from Manokotak to Juneau. Freelance work includes magazine writing and producing online content.

Meet Board Member Candidate Lindsay Belle Sobolik! Lindsay Belle Sobolik is a born and raised Alaskan with a degree in English Literature and Communications from Chapman University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Meet Board Member Candidate Anna Sommers! Anna writes theater reviews for the Copper River Record covering an area from Fairbanks to Valdez and has a passion to represent the artistic needs and ideas of rural Alaskans. She has won awards from Moonbeam and Readers' Favorite.

Meet Martha Amore, Current Member-At-Large, Grants Coordinator, and 2024 candidate: Martha teaches writing at the University of Alaska Anchorage and holds a Master of Fine Arts in fiction and an Interdisciplinary Studies Ph.D. in creative writing.

Meet Jamey Bradbury! Current Member-At-Large, Contest Coordinator, and 2024 candidate: Jamey is the author of The Wild Inside, a book about Alaska, murder, dog sledding, hunting, family, good dogs, smart dogs, loyal dogs, love, secrets, and also dogs.

Meet Laura Lancaster! Current Vice President/Interior Representative/2023 Conference Co-Chair, and 2024 candidate: Laura writes short stories and plays from a dry cabin in Fairbanks, Alaska. She’s traveled to 18 countries to date and writes about her experiences.

Meet Brooke Hartman! Current Treasurer and 2024 candidate: Brooke is an Alaskan mom and award-winning author of books for children. She also serves as an occasional instructor of writing for Alaska Pacific University and member of the board of directors for AWG.
