As we mark International Women’s Day, I want to thank the women of the City of Austin and the many elected women across our community who lead every day with integrity, competence, and compassion. Photo is from our 2024 celebration at City Hall.

I was excited to celebrate the grand opening of the new Canyon Creek FIRE/EMS Station on 620. This marks the achievement of an ambitious goal to build 5 new Fire/EMS stations in 6 years to reduce response times, support first responders, and elevate our wildfire preparedness.
