Today, at Parliament House, I called on the Senate to put patients first and vote against the disallowance motion on 60-day dispensing. This reform will save patients money at a time of intense cost of living pressures. It’s time to do the right thing. #60day

We're calling on the Senate to do the right thing and to ensure Australians are able to access affordable medicines. The Coalition's moves to block the government's 60-day dispensing changes will mean patients will struggle to afford the medicines they need.

The National Party's proposed disallowance motion is nothing but a cruel attempt to rip half-price medicines away from patients just days after it starts. Sixty-day dispensing will deliver significant savings to patients and should not be subjected to these political games.

From today, patients will have access to cheaper medicines as 60-day dispensing comes into effect. This is a big win for consumers, who will be able to save precious time and money amid a cost-of-living crisis.
