If we are going to improve literacy outcomes in Dallas County we must include how we are going to support our emergent bilingual students through biliteracy in the conversation. Thank you to Dr. Hernandez of TNTP and all who joined us Commit Partnership for this important convo!

While there is a great need for state action, I am excited that Dallas County districts continue to innovate around how to improve early literacy outcomes through strategies such as departmentalization, K-3 coaches, and more!

The Mavs ejected fans over "Fire Nico" signs—raising a key leadership question: How do school leaders handle dissent? Change is emotional, and pushback is inevitable. Strong leaders don’t shut it down—they create space for dialogue. How do you handle dissent?

Attended Houston ISD’s Destination Transformation Fireside Chat, where Michelle Rhee and Mike Miles emphasized that piecemeal reform doesn’t work. Loved hearing from these two trailblazers on the power of bold, systemic change!
