*Maths Week in AMC* Second year students visited the Galway Aquarium to take part in an exciting maths workshop for Maths Week. They enjoyed hands-on activities, including building their own water filters and testing which materials worked best.

Today was the AMC Autumn Golf Tournament. Great weather conditions and the biggest turnout so far ensured fun was had all round and competition was fierce. The winning score of -3 gross was Mr Flaherty, Datihi Coen, Rory Moran and Noah Henry.

*Hotel, Catering and Tourism in AMC* Today, our LCA Hotel ,Catering and Tourism students enjoyed a tour of Westport House and the surrounding tourist attractions in the town. They explored Westport from a tourist perspective, enjoyed all it had to offer.

MFL in AMC* Our 1st year MFL students had a fantastic trip to Palas Cinema in Galway today 🎬 The Spanish group enjoyed the film Olmo, the French group watched Fantastique, and the German group were entertained by Circus Boys. What a great way to bring languages to life

Basketball in AMC πŸ€ Our u19 basketball team gave a spirited display against Portumna CS, loosing out by 44:38 in what was a high scoring game. Our u16 and first year teams will travel to Portumna later in the term to face off once again.

Yesterday our 1st 2nd 4th and 5th year girls took part in a Move2B workshop. Move2B uses sports as an agent for change to empower girls across Ireland. The facilitators highlighted and deconstructed the hidden practical and social barriers to sport.

Congratulations are in order! πŸ₯‰πŸŠπŸ»β€β™€οΈ Well done to 1st year student Sophia Dermody who placed 3rd place in the 100m Butterfly event in the Connacht Senior Schools Championships in Longford yesterday. Sophia represented Archbishop McHale College in these championships.
