Whenever you make an excuse for why your dog exhibits a certain behavior, you’re also making an excuse for yourself as to why you haven’t fixed it. — Your dog can’t learn unless you do.

Some people aren’t willing to pay for dog training because they don’t see it’s true value initially. — The value in training becomes evident once the owner experiences a monetary loss due to the LACK of training. — Be proactive, not reactive; it may save you money!

If money was being deposited into your back account EVERYDAY for no reason, would you go to work & listen to your boss? Probably not. — So why do you expect your dog to listen & work for you when you leave their food out all day for them? — Food is pay, use it wisely.

Why spend money on dog training if you have no intention of practicing daily with your dog? That’s the equivalent of paying for a gym membership you never use & expecting results.

Monday Reality Check: It’s unacceptable when a dog respects a trainer they’ve known for a few hours more than their owner they’ve known for a few years… — We aren’t here to sugar coat things for you; we’re here to train YOU to become a LEADER for your dog!

When someone asks us if we’ll refund them money if the training doesn’t work, we will automatically decline to train. — Why? — That owner has already predetermined their dog will fail. Don’t blame your dog for the work you refuse to put in. If you can’t commit, why should we?

Friday Fact — Many owners get upset when they come home to holes dug in the backyard. This irritates them so they seek training. — You CANNOT correct what you don’t see in the moment. If your dog does unwanted behavior while you’re gone the solution is simple: CRATE TRAIN!

Do you leave a toddler unsupervised at home? We would hope not. So why do it with a young puppy? — People bring home puppies & expect them to automatically understand rules & boundaries. If you aren’t ready to teach & be patient, you have no business bringing home a puppy.

Dogs go for training then eventually “forget” everything they’ve learned when not held accountable. Did the dog really forget what was taught? Of course not. You just forgot to hold them accountable. — We know a child won’t enforce rules on themselves, yet we think a dog will!

What’s the secret to having a well-behaved dog? Consistency. — Why do so many owners struggle with their dog’s behavior? The lack of consistency in holding their dog accountable. — Consistency allows the dog to understand what is expected of them each & every day.

Training tools will not magically fix your dog’s behavior. They are simple TOOLS which help aide the training of a desired behavior or the correction of an undesired one. TRAINING is still required to teach this new language to your dog.

As dog trainers, it’s not our job to tell you what you can or cannot do with your dog.

If a trainer tells you to redirect any type of behavior that is dangerous, rude, or obnoxious; find yourself a new trainer.
