Why do CARET delegates serve as volunteer advocates for #LandGrantUniversities' agricultural research, Extension, and teaching? Connie Kays, K-State College of Agriculture delegate, is inspired to support not just her alma mater K-State, but the entire land-grant system.

This week,MSU CANR leadership joined alongside CARET volunteer citizen advocates to advocate for key federal funds that support MSU’s foundational ag research, extension, and teaching missions. They also highlighted the importance of Farm Bill programs to MI and the US.

This week, Dean Durgan, Associate Dean Schmitt and Julie Tesch represented University of Minnesota Extension at the CARET Day on the Hill in Washington, D.C. to advocate for Extension’s capacity funding at the federal level. #UMNProud
