Today the APPG on Migration and APPG for Gypsies, Travellers and Roma co-hosted a panel discussion on the ongoing challenges with the European Union Settlement Scheme for Roma communities in the UK. The event was chaired by Olivia Blake MP and was also in partnership with Roma Support Group and The University of Sheffield.

Ahead of further planning reforms, APPG members wrote to the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Faith, Communities and Resettlement and the Minister of State for Housing and Planning, urging action around the provision and operation of Gypsy and Traveller sites.

Thanks to APPG Members Andy Slaughter, Kim Johnson, and APPG Chair Mary Kelly Foy MP for pushing for the repeal of Part 4 of the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022, during yesterday's Second Reading of the Crime and Policing Bill.
