Tony was a great supporter and friend of the APPG. As an officer he was a huge advocate for the principle that everyone deserves to live in a healthy home - we will miss him. He was the epitome of a good and honourable MP, and our sincere condolences go to his family and friends.

Jim Shannon MP Fred Weissenborn from the Design Council advocated for building regulations which incorporate health measures. Homes should be thoughtfully designed to support people throughout their lives, considering mobility as well as access to transport and amenities. #HealthyHomesNow

Wise words from our other parliamentary panellist Natalie Elphicke Ross OBE who says we should rename every department in Government the "housing department" because decent housing is the springboard to be able to live independent, successful and healthy lives. #HealthyHomesNow

We're glad Friends of the Earth new report highlights just how many of us (9.6m!) are living in cold, damp and poorly insulated homes which impact our health. As set out in our Healthy Homes Manifesto, everyone has the right to live in a healthy home.
