I welcome the release of Khalid Omar Yousif Khalid Omer Yousif, Muhammad al-Faki محمد الفكي سليمان, Babikar Faisal, Wajda Salih وجدي صالح Wagdi Salih, Taha Osman and others. Their release eventually follows the decision by the responsible judge that there are no grounds for their detention.


The Forgotten War in Sudan. Vicky Ford chaired a meeting UK Parliament today of APPG on Sudan World Food Programme said the situation is “catastrophic” only 10% of people can be reached because warring parties block access.Minister Richard Benyon & Lyn Brown 🌹 called for an urgent end to war.


Today World Food Programme Regional Director for East Africa Michael Dunford took part in the APPG for Sudan and South Sudan's 'One Year on: Reflections on the Conflict in Sudan' event alongside passionate voices for peace in the region. The message is clear, #Sudan can't be forgotten.


Sudan's war risks triggering the world's largest hunger crisis across the region. Humanitarian need is growing, yet conflict makes delivering assistance at scale impossible. Thank you Vicky Ford APPG for Sudan & South Sudan Chair, for keeping attention on this forgotten crisis.

Also confirmed: • Urgent question from Lyn Brown 🌹: "To ask the Deputy Foreign Secretary if he will make a statement on the Government's response to atrocity risks in El Fasher, Sudan."

Hugely relieved Lyn Brown 🌹 has secured a UQ on what the Governments response needs to be in the face of atrocities in El Fasher, #Sudan. We need to see much more being done with urgency to de-escalate the horrors Protection Approaches International Development Committee
