This afternoon’s #APPGSEND meeting begins with Chair Olivia Blake MP paying tribute Jack Dromey MP, who died last month. Jack was an officer and founding member of the group, and fiercely passionate about improving support for young people with #SEND

The focus of today’s #APPGSEND meeting is intersectionality and barriers for #SEND young people and families. The group is hearing from young people, parents, organisations and professionals on disability and race, gender, sexuality and class.

The #APPGSEND will hold their Annual General Meeting this afternoon. The AGM is required to be in person, on the Parliamentary Estate therefore is not open to the public. The group will plan meetings for the coming year which will be online, open to all, as per previous meetings.
