Earlier this school year, we completed the final phase of library renovations for Community Consolidated School District 21; 12 schools over 3 years. Our design team transformed the existing libraries into modern, cutting-edge learning media centers with dedicated classrooms, collaborative spaces & new STEM labs.

And just like that, construction has begun! Yesterday we celebrated the groundbreaking of Berwyn South District 100's new District Education Center. Our team has enjoyed working with the Berwyn community & partners on this project & cannot wait to see the progress in the coming months.

Last week we welcomed District 211 students to our office to learn about architecture. Students were broken up in teams & challenged to design structurally sound popsicle stick bridges. Learning the value of working together under a time limit, each group built a unique design!

The Rantoul City Schools 137 Otters have a new home! District & community members opened the PreK addition at Pleasant Acres ES on April 17th. The addition includes a motor & MP room, 8 classrooms with adjoining bathrooms, & more. PreK faculty are overjoyed to have a space to call their own!

Please join us in celebrating our April & May anniversaries. This group of talented individuals are celebrating a range of 1 year to 25 years at ARCON! Each one brings a unique perspective & tremendous work ethic to the team, always putting the client & students first.

Who's ready for a library refresh? We know the students at Lindop School are! Summer renovations will improve the space's lighting with a central skylight, eliminate the cramped environment with an open layout & create comfortable reading areas. Construction begins this month!

New corridor graphics are here! A map of the 9 districts that encompass NTDSE now greets you at the door while a memory tree graphic was added by the pick-up area. The leaf-shaped memorial plaques honor students & teachers who have made a significant impact on the district.

It's crunch time at Evergreen Elementary! Almost all the exterior work is complete for the new PreK & K addition; RTUs placed, a new transformer is up & running, site restoration & the concrete walk are up next. The FH Paschen team is now ready for all the interior finishes.

Congratulations to our June ARCON Anniversaries! This group's experience ranges from the principal level all the way to our architectural associate level and everything in-between. Each one is dedicated to creating the most innovative & safe learning environments for our clients!

Lots of foundation work is happening at Berwyn South District 100's New Education Center! Most of the West & South wall foundations are complete while the East & curved courtyard foundations are being formed. Next up: the North wall foundation then the underground utility work!

Every summer since 2019, ARCON has had the pleasure of renovating a section or two of the Pathways Program at School District U-46; this summer we are working on Bartlett HS. The new CMU walls are in progress in both the Auto Shop & Engineering Labs while the MEP rough-ins are nearly complete.
