Every activist who has suffered unconstitutional abuses by the GBI, Atlanta Police, Georgia State Patrol, and other agencies deserves justice. We support Jamie's civil action and want to see many more. If you have been abused by the police, get in touch! atlpresscollective.com/2025/03/01/act…

It’s illegal to deport people for political speech, but that’s exactly what ICE is trying to do to this Palestinian Columbia student. interc.pt/43yR2B5

The trend is unmistakable. Nobody is safe from the criminal legal system, and no amount of obedience to the law or deference to the powerful can keep us safe. The only way to safety is to openly and uncompromisingly exercise our rights, and defend others who do the same.

Yet another lawsuit against the City of Atlanta for the illegal policing tactics it used to suppress Cop City protests. Considering the scope of the City's abuses, we anticipate many more suits this year. decaturish.com/2025/03/decatu…

Authorities in Cobb County are bringing felony charges against people protesting Marjorie Taylor Greene's town hall. These charges are fake and will be thrown out eventually, but police continue to use them to intimidate, attack and incarcerate critics. morgancountycitizen.com/news/local/dem…

The criminal legal system is being used by right wing politicians to punish their political enemies without ever showing evidence or holding a trial. If we allow the lives of protesters to be destroyed like this, the First Amendment is meaningless. apnews.com/article/cop-ci…

!! Judge Barwick just ruled in favor of the Atlanta Community Press Collective & Lucy Parsons Lab, who sued the Atlanta Police Foundation for (illegally) refusing to turn over public records about Cop City to the press. The police foundation has 30 days to produce the records.

First the Atlanta Police Foundation, now the DHS/FBI...why are the authorities going to such lengths to conceal information about their activities against the Stop Cop City Movement?

The authorities have deployed the military against protesters in Atlanta as recently as 2023. There's no doubt they will try it again sooner or later. But people have a right to protest, to march, to fight for justice. No power, not even the military, can take that away.

Chris Carr threatens to charge protesters with domestic terrorism. He knows this is unconstitutional (the courts will ultimately throw out such cases) but he hopes that in the meantime, shock and fear will keep people out of the streets. Don't let the AG's terrorist tactics win.
