Late as usual, but proud of PhD student Adam Tanguay presenting his poster at #ORS2023. Was a great mtg, caught up with old colleagues and met new ones. #PRG4 and boneā¦. More to come.

Hi all! I am looking for teaching faculty jobs for a start in the summer of 2024. I am a rising 5th year PhD candidate in Alix Deymier ās lab at UConn Health. I am interested in teaching in a biomedical engineering and/or materials science departments.

recruiting for an AFM/nanomechanics expert with interests in neuroscience and/or matrix biology, co-advised by Krishna Jayant w/in EMBRIO Institute - posting to be written up soon, but getting this out here now! PIs w/ graduated/ing PhDs, please help spread the word!

Mark your calendars for Mikayla Moody's presentation at the BMES Annual Meeting Biomedical Engineering Society on Saturday Oct. 14th. They'll be discussing Bicarbonate supplementation for murine bone, and you won't want to miss it! #LatinXinBME #BMES2023 #HHM

New lab paper, congrats to Adam Tanguay & thanks to coauthors! #PRG4 deficient mice have altered femur mechanical/structural/material properties, and more calvarial osteoclasts. AND, #rhPRG4 inhibits osteoclast-ogenesis & activity in vitro. In vivo is next?! onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/joā¦

#PRG4 #lubricin AlphaLISA from Revvity for Life Sciences! We developed it with Lubris BioPharma #rhPRG4, showed PRG4 down in Sjogrens tears, now great to have a kit made/optimized by Revvity CustomTeams. LLOQ ~5ng/ml, only 5ul of sample. Great for serum, tears, saliva - and weāll see what else!

The Tang lab crew is getting excited to get to Long Beach for the Orthopaedic Research Society #ORS2024 annual meeting. We have lots of exciting science to share - and looking forward to catching up with old friends. Safe travels everyone!

We are excited to share our work at Orthopaedic Research Society #ORS2024. We have several great collaborative studies with Saman Firoozi Matt Fisher Rohan Shirwaikar DeFrate Lab Sophia Kim-Wang James A. Coppock Duke Orthopaedics

New PRG4 paper on aging! The molecule that never ceases to surprise: Serum PRG4 down with age. Deficiency results in decreased survival in mice and accelerated skeletal aging in M mice. Great work by former PhD student Adam Tanguay and awesome collaborators. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/40537697/
