Do animals have rights? Legally speaking, they do, says Angus Nurse. "However, the question of whether animals should have rights & what a rights-based approach might require of vet professionals raises questions around the conceptualisation of rights."👉 bvajournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10.10…

How do you define contextualised care? Adam Tjolle: it's "gold standard care with the cards you're dealt" Andrea Jeffery: it's "individualised and holistic care". What does it mean for you?

Does financial success come at the expense of animal care? Absolutely not, say the panellists. It's important not to be frightened to talk about the cost of delivering care with our vet teams- it's about everyone having buy-in & contributing to the ethos of the practice.

It's not "gold standard" but protocolisation and inflexibility in care that are an issue- Adam. An interesting discussion around the language used when describing care- gold standard, spectrum or contextualised- and how one is better than the others.
