Avondale PD is searching for off-duty police K9 “Rico,” who went missing from its handler’s residence near Lower Buckeye Pkwy and Estrella Pkwy in Goodyear. We are asking the community to assist us by not attempting to approach the canine and to immediately calling 911.

In May Officer Simington responded to an unresponsive 5yr old that was found not breathing. He performed life saving measures which medical attributed the child surviving the drowning based on the quick actions of the chest compressions performed by the officer. Full story on FB
