1125 am: Isolated showers and a couple embedded storms are lifting north through Pinal County along I-10. Please slow down on wet roads in the area as these showers move into the Phoenix metro over the next few hours. More rounds of showers likely through this evening. #azwx

One can clearly see the big low churning in the ocean, south of San Diego & west of the Baja Peninsula. All the moisture, showers & thunderstorms, that are east of the low, they are moving northward as we speak. The forecast for a wet Sunday night & Monday remains on track. #azwx

115 pm: So far today, Yuma airport has received 0.10" of rainfall breaking the daily June 1st record of a Trace set in 1956, 1914, and 1899. Phoenix Sky Harbor has measured a Trace so far - daily record is 0.02" set in 1914. #azwx

As of 3:40 PM MST, Sky Harbor International Airport has received 0.03" of rainfall, breaking the daily June 1st record of 0.02" set all the way back in 1914. There is still more to come! #azwx

It has been a record breaking first day of June here in the Arizona desert. Phoenix set a new daily rainfall record at 0.10" and counting. The high temperature occurred just after midnight, and the current temperature is the low temperature for the day and still falling. #azwx

Low temperatures were much below normal today under clouds & showers. 0.07" of rain was recorded at Sky Harbor (record is 0.14" in 1899). Much more for those north & west of the city, while much less for those SE. Look for gradual drying & warming the rest of the week. #azwx

Here is a look at rainfall totals from yesterday through this morning. They ranged from a few hundredths to 1-2" in northern Maricopa County. Any rainfall this time of year is unusual. Phoenix received 0.31", which already places June 2025 as the 9th wettest June on record. #azwx
