Congratulations to Dr. George Sweetmore on successfully defending his PhD on measurement of the muon spin precession frequency using the tracking detectors at the Fermilab Muon g-2 experiment! 🍾🎉

This (arxiv.org/abs/2104.04421) is probably still my favourite plot in flavour physics. Measuring oscillations this precisely at the LHCb Experiment will never not be cool!

At 0820 this morning, due to a pressure differential, and a faulty valve, my VELO suffered an abnormal change in pressure. After inspection and intervention the full VELO is operational . Further inspections will be carried out to ensure no change in performance. #JustLHCbThings
