One thing that never ceases to amaze me is people publish papers about the ED/ED physicians making pretty big claims, and then you look at the author line and it’s clear not a single ED physician was involved at any point. Does this happen to other specialties?

The randomized control trial we covered today compared standard ultrasound to biplane ultrasound for peripheral IV access. Medical student users had fewer vessel back wall punctures when using biplane imaging. They also said biplane imaging was easier to use. #POCUS
