In honor of Mayor Eric Adams making an announcement with Billy Joel today, which Billy Joel song would you say best describes this administration?

Sharing resources for our newest New Yorkers at Rural & Migrant Ministry’s Welcoming the Stranger event in the Hudson Valley. Great to see so many orgs like WJCNY and NYCLU (Find us on Bluesky) connecting people with the supports they need to thrive.

New York’s failure to deliver on key initiatives addressing immigrant rights, tenant protections, and criminal justice reforms represents our state ceding leadership. At a time when we should be moving forward, our leaders appear to be going backwards. gothamgazette.com/130-opinion/12…

So proud of what we’ve built over the years together and excited to continue serving New Yorkers alongside United Way of New York City ❤️

The "Women Forward NYC" plan comes after Mayor Eric Adams has made major cuts to Pre-K and 3-K. There is no equality without affordable child care for moms. See our statement:

NEW: 26 NYC Council Members sent a letter led by Gale A. Brewer to NYS legislative leadership & Governor Kathy Hochul calling for an increase in the SNAP minimum benefit. With food insecurity on the rise in NYC and across NYS, we must take action & increase it from $23 to $100. TY CMs!

NEW: Senator Rachel May (RachelMayNY.bsky.social) and I have been calling for an increase to the SNAP minimum benefit so we decided to SHOW you why we need it. Watch as Jack Arpey from Spectrum News 1 Albany joined us at Honest Weight Food Co-op to see why $23 isn't enough and why we need Governor Kathy Hochul to raise it to $100.

Skylar and I were thrilled to join United Way of New York City in our district to bring the EEAP Coalition of Black Studies Curriculum to life. From the history enlightening bookmobile to read aloud and games, it was great to share the gift of education!

I'm thrilled to announce I've received the endorsement of Borough President Antonio Reynoso! Antonio is a visionary leader, friend, and ally in our fight for affordable housing and a city that's affordable for all. I'm honored to have his support.
