As a club we love achievements and firsts. This weekend we saw our first All Star represent our senior team. We are so proud of Jenson who has worked so hard at his cricket. He will be the first of many. This is why All Stars Cricket is so important to clubs.

Today was the end of our Wales Womens Cricket League season. We had some doubts at the start, with no games previously we played 8 games this season, and we had a blast. It's the end of this chapter, but not the end of the season. Well done girls 👏👏🩵💛

We are going to take some time to mention MachenCricketClub today. After so much bad weather and cancelled games. It's great to see a side trying so much to get a game on. The spirit of cricket is alive and well, result went our way, but cricket was the winner.

It's our annual presentation event next Saturday. We have a fantastic night planned tickets are on sale and available, please get in touch if you want to come along.

Through the hard work of club volunteers, Abercynon Cricket Club secured £47,000 from Sport Wales for a two-lane practice net facility. It was fantastic to see the finished product, and hear how well used it is by club players of all ages. Thank to Andrew for showing me around.

Women's and Girls softball cricket is back next Friday. New players are always welcome (players 12+ can play in the league). No experience required, all kit is provided, and a warm welcome guaranteed. Time to get going ahead of our 2024 league season 🏏🏏
