I know what Iâll be reading tonight!!! Congrats Kevin Tharp

Congrats to Issa Funsho Habeeb (first PhD student in the Buffone Lab) for passing his qualifying exam with flying colors!!!!

The Buffone Lab will be well represented at the Biomedical Engineering Society 2023 Meeting! We have 3 presentations from both the group and our senior capstone team! Come check out our work! If you like it, we are recruiting graduate students NJIT for Fall 2024 as well! See you all in Seattle!

Had a great time at the #AIChEAnnual meeting and catching up with old friends Vivek Bajpai, MD,PhD Panagiotis Mistriotis and new. See you all next year in San Diego!

Excited to share our new study in Cell Reports! đFluid forces cause cells in tight, but not moderate, confinement to move upstream. Key players: Lamin A/C, actomyosin, calcium, and NHE1. Amazing work as always Panagiotis Mistriotis! Redefining what we know about upstream migration!!!

If you are at #AICHE2024, join Kolade Adebowale, Ph.D. and I as we host great lineup of speakers in the cell migration and mechanobiology session in room 30C at 1230pm. Our session keynote from @Lola_UIC is not to be missed!

Congrats to my former postdoc mentor Penn Bioengineering The Hammer Lab for his section 15D/E plenary award at #aiche2024

Always great to see a colleague recognized this way by their scientific community. Congrats Dan The Hammer Lab on the 2024 Area 15DE Plenary Award and an outstanding lecture! Congrats to students Issa Funsho Habeeb, Toheeb Alao, and Daniella Delgado (who is applying to PhD programs!!!) on their new paper out today! Here they review what we know about how sialylation of the glycocalyx controls cancer mechanobiology! frontiersin.org/journals/oncolâŠ
