Attended the ABUHB Alcohol Team Recovery Group today. Extraordinary people, very emotional yet uplifting. Great reminder of why we do what we do Huge thanks also to Nicola Prygodzicz for listening, the group truly appreciated your kind words . Executive leadership at its finest!

Had the most inspirational uplifting morning spending time with some amazing people sharing their personal stories and experience of recovery and their gratitude for the outstanding work of the Alcohol Care Team. Truly humbled and proud ABUHB Alcohol Team Andrew Yeoman

Thank you Gaz Nurse Prac Gastroenterology & Medical Ambulatory Care Unit for your support today. Hospital admission avoided with team work 🙌🏼

Some lovely feedback from a patient today. Recovery is about progression and believing in yourself, taking one day at a time. Aneurin Bevan University Health Board #recovery

68 patients drinking alcohol at a moderate or severe dependence level who, due to complex physical or mental health, have been supported intensively by our outreach team in the community to reduce or abstain from alcohol. These results speak for themselves ! Aneurin Bevan University Health Board

Follow up appointments are so important to ensure patients adopt the skills needed to maintain their recovery. An increase in follow up appointments appears to be resulting in fewer initial assessments in hospital. It’s working !! Gwent Liver Unit Aneurin Bevan University Health Board Andrew Yeoman
