Having evaluated data from 234 top start-up exits, 645 Ventures found that at the seed stage, only 31% of the companies raised capital from the top 70 VC funds. At the series A, 71% of companies raised Series A from those top 70 funds. buff.ly/30e6b8z

One of the best VC podcasts episodes I’ve heard yet. Thank you Sarah Kunst for sharing your story and providing an insightful take on VC is right now and where it’s going. Thank you Harry Stebbings for taping and releasing. Will definitely prioritize more podcasts like this one.

Having been a fan of Anna Khan CRV writing for a while, such a joy to have her on 20VC today discussing: Why founders should speak to analysts when raising? Why few firms are doing true early stage investing? The rise of pre-empted rounds. thetwentyminutevc.com/annakhan/

Today's tweet thread is about how LPs (fund investors) make money (or don't) by investing into funds. When do they send the money to the fund? When do they get money back? What are the fees ppl should be aware of? thx @zsilvs303 for the topic! Read on >>

Born in Africa, whole career in the US, invested globally. I have no natural bias in favor of or against any region I believe Latin America, particularly Brazil and Mexico, are the best risk/reward in venture capital over the next 5-10 years

Shu Nyatta (@snyatta) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Why I like risk/reward for Brazil/Mexico VC: - Big pop + $$ (~340M, > pc GDP vs India, Indonesia, Turkey, ~ China) - Liquidity! 20+ yrs of IPOs/M&A in US - 1 winner funded per category - US competitors won't prioritize these mkts - High LT earnings power (look at incumbents)
