Alongside Glenbow Ranch Board Chair Georg Paffrath, I was delighted to attend the National accessArts Centre's 50th Anniversary and Gala. This incredible milestone celebrates five decades of empowering artists with disabilities, fostering creativity, and building a more inclusive arts

#yyccc can -- and must -- move quickly to address this. Our city isn't judged based on mega projects like a fancy new arena; we're judged on how we treat organizations like National accessArts Centre.

When we're surrounded by projects in the hundreds of millions of dollars, $8.2M might not seem like a lot -- but it is. It's the largest single capital investment ever documented to advance the disability arts in the Western world. Truly grateful to Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada and George Chahal for

We are excited to announce that the Government of Canada (Canadian Heritage) through the Canada Cultural Spaces Fund will be investing $750K towards the Trico Communities Accessible Arts Centre, a revitalization project led by the City of Calgary. accessarts.ca/news/governmen… #yycarts #yyc

While I’ve made observations about this year’s program in particular, I am looking forward to representing National accessArts Centre at this national gathering of Canada’s leading, major arts institutions and orgs.

So great to see National accessArts Centre showcased as part of #ICAIR 2025 in Toronto. Thank you and congrats to KITE Research Institute, Anthony Palma KITE@UHN and all organizers for bringing this amazing community together!

The levels of engagement with attendees at this year’s summit were extraordinary. Thank you and congrats to KITE Research Institute for another successful summit!

It was truly an honour for me to welcome Her Excellency Kim Hye-Kyung, the First Lady of the Republic of Korea to National accessArts Centre this afternoon as part of the official visit to the G7 Summit. During her visit, she met with our community of artists and expressed her admiration

The NaAC Board of Directors has appointed Senator Karen Sorensen 🦋 (Senator Karen Sorensen) as its Honorary Patron, serving alongside the Honourable Lois Mitchell. The NaAC's Board commended Karen's longstanding support for the arts + community. More to come. #yycarts

I am honoured to be appointed to this role and help National accessArts Centre support artists living with development and/or physical disabilities. I have watched the success of NaAC over many years and am delighted to be part of the future.

It's also worth noting that National accessArts Centre was one of a select few orgs that hosted a G7 dignitary earlier this week. Proud to have played a role putting City of Calgary on the map as being an accessible #arts city! #yycarts #abculture Calgary Arts Development Alberta Foundation for the Arts Canadian Heritage

I am so excited to share National accessArts Centre's 2024/25 Annual Report - in video format! Wonderful to join colleagues Stephanie Chipeur, Rae Reid, SJ Obatusin, Katie Wackett, and Re Parsons as we reflect on an incredible year of growth and positive change! #yycarts #abculture

This is incredible news. Thank you David Myles for visiting us at National accessArts Centre — and thank you Canadian Heritage for your groundbreaking investment in our programs and spaces.
