We recently met with the council about Durham Tower, and have regular meetings arranged so we can make sure they do all the repairs and installations promised! The residents held them to account brilliantly, giving testimonies about how the failings of the council affect them.

We've started another big campaign in Ladywood (Wells Tower), again finding awful disrepair caused by council neglect, and residents ready to fight tooth and nail for their homes and families. Watch this space for updates!

🚩On Sunday, ACORN stopped supported accommodation provider Concept Housing, from evicting our member Josh. He had to move out eventually, but we will keep fighting these companies, until vulnerable tenants in supported accommodation have the legal protections they need!

Lifeways - the UK’s largest provider of supported living for adults with complex needs - had a revenue of £295 million last year. This investigation has exposed their horrifying neglect of disabled people. All while their CEO pockets £923,000 a year.

Last Saturday, ACORN went to confront Marston's Holdings, who send bully bailiffs to intimidate vulnerable people. Their director Martin Johnson is profiting off the harassment of working class people, and we're campaigning nationally to stop it!
