Claude 4 just refactored my entire codebase in one call. 25 tool invocations. 3,000+ new lines. 12 brand new files. It modularized everything. Broke up monoliths. Cleaned up spaghetti. None of it worked. But boy was it beautiful.

AI is good for images, video, and frontend code where there’s some error tolerance and errors are highly visible. But AI needs to be carefully supervised for backend code where errors are not tolerated and invisible.

As a new manager, my biggest regret is how I handled underperforming employees. I gave them the benefit of the doubt for too long and my team suffered as a result. Here are 3 tests I now use to act more decisively:

Glass had 5 – 50× higher plastic than plastic or cans The French tested water, soda, beer, iced tea, lemonade, and wine sold nationwide and found that glass-bottled beverages carried far more plastic shrapnel than plastic bottles or cans. 🧵

A thing I love about my career? Its versatility. I hold a PhD in Computer Science & worked in academia. Now not in academia (I work Mozilla & KamiLimu) & my skills are even more applicable. Best part? I publish even more than I did in academia. 2 papers in this year, so far. ✨
