Arlington boys basketball defeated reigning Section 1 Class AAA champion Mount Vernon tonight 49-45 in their holiday invitational. It’s the first win for Arlington basketball in program history over Mount Vernon. The Admirals are for real.

The fact that media has to refer to the teams playing for the NYSPHSAA championship as Albany and Syracuse just points out how ridiculous it is that two private schools with the same name are even playing in the game. No disrespect to either talented team, but come on.

Too bad no PUBLIC schools were involved in the game.

Spoke with Coach Morano on this visit today. He is THRILLED that SU is getting back into heavy in-state recruiting...says it's a HUGE difference from the lack of in-state recruiting under previous regimes. "It's really refreshing that this new staff seems eager to change that."

During the fall Admiral Football used fundraising efforts to provide $10k worth of weight room equipment upgrades, which will benefit all Arlington students. In the last month, 10 custom multi use benches and several sets of custom bumper plates have arrived. Arlington Schools NY ⚓️💪🏼
