By the way, José Luis Martínez, who worked on this story with Hanna Holthaus will be a free agent in mid-May, if not sooner. Any news organization or public policy group would be doing themselves a BIG favor by scooping him up.

Struggling to accept that Houston Landing will cease to exist. However… You can shut down an organization & lay off 40+ employees, but you can’t take away the impact we had. I’m finding comfort in that. Here’s some of the value my work in Houston had.

Hillary contributed so much to the Landing in the time she was here — including our first Vietnamese translation! Any newsroom would be lucky to have her.

We wouldn't have the social media presence we have without Fiza! She impressed me from Day 1 and will be a major asset to whatever newsroom is lucky enough to scoop her up.
